We are Thankful

For Thanksgiving, we were invited to Napa to spend time with our friend Tom's family. It was wonderful!! Here Sydney is feeding a goat at the petting zoo of Train Town in Sonoma.

Taking time to stop and smell the flowers outside Terry & Janie's house.

Here we are with our buddy Allison on Thanksgiving Day. Janie is a fabulous cook!

Earlier that week, London had a singing performance and luncheon at her preschool. She made this candleholder.

At Train Town, Marshall and Claudia got to ride a crazy kiddie roller coaster (cause the kids wouldn't!) Mind you, this is the ONLY time Claudia has had her arms up on any kind of a roller coaster. Marshall raises his every time! This time he kept touching the sides of the track! Yikes!

Please Pray

Please pray for our friend Brenna Logsdon. Many of you have already heard her story from us, but for those of you who haven't, here's a very brief tale. Brenna is a bright, sweet, heavenly 7 year old from Cleveland, Oklahoma, who is battling brain cancer right now. She's at St. Jude's in Memphis undergoing several rounds of chemo, after her 3 brain surgeries and her radiation. In the midst of all this, she has remained a smiling, joy-spreading sweetheart and is an inspiration to anyone she meets.
Nevertheless, this joy doesn't negate the pain that she experiences, or the sickness on a daily basis during treatments. Her father David ministers in Cleveland but is graciously given plenty of time to come be with her and her mother Bettina. Their other children Jalen and Bella could use prayer to, for God to help them through this trial with their dear sister.
Finally, please pray for the newest member of the family, little "Chipmunk," as he/she is called, the baby Bettina is carrying. Recently they learned through an ultrasound that there may be problems with the little one.
Thank you for your faith and prayers!

The Mini PGA tour hit Myrtle this year....

Happy Birthday to YOU, Will! Sorry, our singing looks like it's bad or loud enough that Syd has to shut her own ears......Well, it's the thought that counts!

Syd cuddling with Uncle John!

Fun with cousins at the local Science Center

Hey, wait a minute.....what year did you graduate from medical school? Can I see that medical license of yours please? (aka - more fun at the hands-on Science Center)

Hmmmmm.....the cat actually STAYED while I crawled up here in Mom and Dad's bed.....

Maybe I can just stay here and she won't run away....

Look! I'm attempting the semi-cuddle!!! She's still here!

We just want to say THANKS!

The girls were so blessed on their birthdays. Shortly after we arrived in Cali, both girls had their birthdays, strangers in a strange land. With all your help and love, we were able to plan the aforementioned big trip to SEA WORLD for them to celebrate!

Ooooh, la la!!! Sea World fun, here we come!

Syd wishing for a great life in her new home!

Mom and dad got me a new basket for my new tricycle!

oh, yeah.....chocoholic....gotta get every last bit of chocolate off my Cinderella candle!

Shamu, Here We Come!!

Wonder why I'm falling asleep on a public bench? Just look at these energetic children!

Our first big trip to Sea World with our friends Tom, Christi, & Allison! These girls had SOOOOO much fun!

Sharing an ice cream treat in the hot afternoon....

Shamu really seemed taken with Sydney for several minutes when we were able to do one on one interaction with the Orca long before the show.

Alas, it was time to leave Arkansas! Time to ride off into the sunset . . . off to California! Well, we had to finally say our goodbyes to all. Here is London saying goodbye to "Mama Hen" and Jonah in a crazy hat ceremony....

Last lovin' huggins from our "Deeda"

We'll miss our Kylee!

And Tanner, Aunt Bob, and Steve.

The best teacher in the world - Mrs. Vaughan and friend Bailey Claire wishing us well on our trip. We miss ALL of our friends and hope we all can keep in touch through our new life adventures.

Changin' and Rearrangin'

Sydney is truly going to miss her best friend at school - Ashley!

Last day of school was "Field Day." London and mom joined Syd's class for watersliding, digging for diamonds, musical chairs, and all kinds of fun!

"Do you like my 'slapped cheeeeeeeeeks' cheese?" This was the beginning of London's fun Fifth's disease rash! Now, the cheeks are not as bright, but when mom takes her out she is covered in tiny red polka dots, especially if it's hot out!

Some serious artists at work here.....Sydney got to have a jam session with her long-time friend Celia! Those two can make some music!

Blessed Union and Reunion!

Recently we got to go to Dallas so Sydney could star in Cousin Mel's wedding! Mel & Josh got married; and Sydney was blessed to be their flower girl. Here Syd is hangin' with cousins Caty and Colin!

"Give me that Cheeto!" says sweet little London when we got to spend some quality time with cousins Will and Nate at their pool.

Eat your heart out! This is why we're locking her in a tower at age 13!

This was the best! Being reunited with Daddy at least for the weekend.

So much to catch up on!!

Daddy riding off into the sunset! Headin' out west!

Sydney the famous concert pianist did AMAZINGLY well on her guild auditions!

Can you see me on a Harley in 10 years? Oh, yeah.

All I want for Christmas, I mean my birthday, is my 2 front teeth!

Yeeeehaw! It's rodeo time!

Today at school we had a huge First Grade field
trip to the Rodeo. We got to watch fancy horse riding,
calf roping, and line dancing!
Here in this picture, my friend Ashley and I are in a 3 legged
race! It was fun.

Here's ole blue eyes in the Arena awaiting the horse show.

London got to come on the field trip too, and we
even had an extra stick horse for her to ride!

Here I am roping a stray stick horse. Yippee Kiy-
Yay! (this was way hard!)

Happy Easter

Our after church egg hunt! It was so much fun!
The only problem we had was every time London
leaned over to pick up another egg, she accidently dumped
her whole basket out! Ooops!

Sydney is an old pro at egg gathering!

The girls had fun dying easter eggs at home.
This year we also got a set of Resurrection Eggs
to tell the story of Easter. It was really neat.
The girls could both tell the story on their own using
the eggs!

We were invited to the Bartholomews after church
for Easter supper. Darian and Jadon went egg
hunting with us afterward!
