Frolicking at "Mama Rocks"

Mmmmmm....good eats at the Finfrocks! When we pulled up on Saturday to see everyone, London chanted "Mama Rock! Mama Rock!!" (Mama Frock's house)

Sydney with her cousin Brett, the amazing pianist. He said Sydney was doing GREAT on her piano!

Gotta get my GranCarol lovins! We got GranRan love too, but the pictures weren't as clear.

Sydney played her piano pieces for the family and did great!

London and cousin Lauren attentively watched Aunt Marilyn peel potatoes! Who needs Blues Clues, anyway?

Giving Thanks

The Massers loaded up and spent Thanksgiving in North Richland Hills (Dallas), Texas. We stayed with Uncle Tommy, Aunt Liz, and our cousins Will and Nate!
Here, we all went on a crafty field trip....
Sydney working on a painting project at a fun pottery place!

London had her own artistic impressions too!

"Cheese!" It's fun playing in Will's room!

Cousin Will is cuddlin' with the cute cousins from Arkansas!

The Dog-Gone Blues

We mourn the loss of a dear friend and companion, Kione Masser.
Kione died on Monday, November 21st, 2005, as a result of her Cushing's Disease.

Kione was 9 years old and was dearly loved by her family. She was always tender and sweet with the children, was always excited to see any of us, and was always right by our side when we needed her. She loved to run and play outside, take walks with us, and sleep as close to us as she could get. When she was younger, she'd play chase with the cat, play "sockie" for hours on end, and chew off our baseboards (oops!)...... She used to go on visits with us to see the elderly, and she brought them much joy. One of the first ladies she met on these visits was a Clara Helms, who was 100 when she met us and a grand 103 years old when she passed from this earth. Kione brought her endless joy!

Kione would give you the shirt off her back if she could and would never complain. Kione would be so patient when those babies and toddlers practiced what it meant to "be gentle" with their petting. Kione would faithfully alert you anytime anything of note happened in the neighborhood (like if the neighbor checked their mail!).

We loved that little pooch and it broke our hearts to watch Cushings Disease eat away at her body and spirit. Medication treatment did little for her. She is likely running the fields of puppy heaven as we speak, and hopefully smiling down upon us as we remember her sweet self.

Thanks for your prayers and thoughts! I didn't know losing a furry friend could be so sad.

"Excuse Me" and "Thank you!"

"Cheese!" Says London, trying on old fashioned clothes at the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History.

"Don't I look marvelous?" Now I am ready to go collect eggs, milk the cow, and hand wash all the laundry, just like in the olden Ozark days!

Sydney is playing "stable hand" in the old timey stables outside at the museum.

We Masser girls attended the fun Shiloh Storytelling Festival, where we got to hear the Bear Lady tell stories about how the teddy bear got its name, among others. She had a jillion stuffed bears to let the kids see and touch! When the girls went to sit down in front with the children at storytime, they were so polite to say "excuse me" as they walked by...... they were even complimented afterward by 2 other ladies! However, the funny part was London completely forgot to say "excuse me" when right in the middle of stories, she passed some gas and yelled out "I tooted! I tooted!" (giggle giggle)......

Ooh, the suns in Syd's eyes! Oops! Here we are leaving the Shiloh Museum. We must come back. It was a fun, free Saturday adventure with stories, outside fun, checkers, a quilting puzzle, and lunch too! THANK YOU to the Shiloh Museum (Springdale) for our fun day!
